Health & Safety and Facilities Officer

Role Overview
Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for an opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Do you have a strong understanding of workplace compliance and facilities management?
We are looking for a Health & Safety and Facilities Officer to take ownership of compliance and safety within our site. This role will involve working closely with employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements, and acting as the go-to person for health and safety concerns.
With a focus on proactive risk management and process improvement, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company policies.
Advise employees on minimising workplace risks and hazards.
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Manage emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid.
Oversee LOLER and compressed air system statutory inspections.
Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents.
Act as the primary contact for maintenance and facility-related issues.
Liaise with contractors and employees to coordinate facility work.
Obtain quotes and oversee necessary facilities improvements.
Work with the leadership team to drive safety culture across the business.
Skills & Experience
NEBOSH National General Certificate (essential)
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing
IOSH certification or ISO familiarity (desirable)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work proactively and independently
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
